Sketches of Spain

Really, sketches of photos of Spain. I sketched these during the workshop I taught at Flicker Street Studio a couple of weeks ago, The Landscape. I was showing the students different design elements and techniques, such as line, shape, shading, and having them approach each drawing focusing on only one of the elements. For the top one here we were focusing on shape and the bottom one, shading. It was fun, and it was too hot to go outside. And it was very controlled, which is just my kind of thing.
