NYC Sketch Day
I spent about an hour and a half on the Brooklyn Bridge sketching.
Manhattan Bridge
This sketch feels clunky to me, but I think that building is just weird. Clunky.
Tiny harbor. Great big Statue of Liberty.
Still getting used to watercolor on site - this is a bit overworked.

How I Spent Studio Night
Since I just finished a commissioned painting, I thought I'd sit at my drawing table all night instead of standing at the easel. I tried out some different sketching materials in preparation for the Urban Sketchers Symposium coming up next week in Portland. All of the images are from my trip to Spain.

NYC: Sketching on the Subway
It is really difficult to sketch on the subway with all of the lurching and the trying not to touch anything. I sort of tried continuous line drawing to see if that would help - it did, but they are kind of weird. It was fun, though!
