I love this! Also, I must admit I have NO IDEA what a waffle sandwich is, but it does sound delectable, as I am assuming there are waffles involved.

Yes waffle sandwiches employ the use of a waffle, but the waffle is on the outside, in place of the bread. So calling it a waffle sandwich is probably incorrect - it was a ham and cheese sandwich. The waffle was so good I would've eaten it by itself - even without syrup.
